When I write, it feels less like creating something and more like getting something out of me.Writing feels like an obsession. You turn on the water and a pipe bursts somewhere behind the wall. You just have to deal with what squirts out.

Anthony Barret Parr (A.B.Parr) publishes frontier fiction, horror, and poetry through Red Root Press, with nine titles in print and a dedicated Substack readership. His work is rooted in the American Southwest--its grit, its ghosts, its people--and reaches readers directly. He holds an M.S. in Psychology and is a high school teacher while building Red Root Press.
